Dr Rahul Gupta is Senior Consultant and Head of the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery at Synergy Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun. He has 10 years of experience in performing various complex abdominal gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary procedures.

Dr. Rahul Gupta has done Minimally invasive Hepato-pancreato-biliary fellowship from Institut Mutualiste Montsouris, Paris, France. Under the guidance of Prof Brice Gayet, he learned the techniques of laparoscopic HPB and GI procedures such as lap major and minor hepatectomies, lap pancreatoduodenectomy, lap distal pancreatectomy, lap vascular resections, lap redo hepatectomies. thoracoscopic assisted esophagectomy, lap gastrectomy, lap colectomies and lap low anterior resections.

Dr. Rahul Gupta has done super-specialisation in M.Ch. (Surgical Gastroenterology) from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, a premier tertiary care and research institute. He has done his medical graduation and postgraduate training in General Surgery from the prestigious Seth GSMC and KEM Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr. Rahul Gupta has been part of liver transplant team at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre where he learned complex hepatobiliary procedures alongwith deceased donor liver transplantation. As a part of the team, he assisted donor as well as recipient hepatectomy, back table preparation and was involved in perioperative care of the transplant recipients.

Dr. Rahul Gupta is on the Editorial Board and Peer reviewer for various National and International indexed Medical and Surgical journals.
